Welcome to Ugly Duckli, a small and personal creative universe based in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.
Ugly Duckli is operated by Ugly Duckli ApS, a Danish registered company.
These terms apply to purchases from our online shop and bookings of our private creative experiences. We believe in clear agreements, personal service and treating our customers fairly.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
Private Group Experiences
Our Danish Paper Heart Experiences and other private creative workshops are arranged individually for each group.
Booking and payment
The agreed price includes the services, materials, preparation and facilitation specified in the individual offer. Additional services must be agreed separately.
A booking is confirmed upon written acceptance and receipt of full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment can be made through a secure Stripe payment link or by invoice and bank transfer, as agreed with the customer.
Cancellation by the customer
- More than 14 calendar days before the event: 50% of the agreed price will be refunded.
- 14 calendar days or less before the event: No refund will be provided.
Cancellation must be made in writing by email. The date on which the cancellation is received determines the applicable cancellation period.
These cancellation terms apply to business bookings. For private consumers, any mandatory statutory rights take precedence.
Changes to the booking
Requests to change the event date or time will be considered subject to availability. Any changes must be confirmed in writing.
A reduction in the number of participants does not automatically reduce the agreed total price.
Cancellation by Ugly Duckli
If Ugly Duckli is unable to deliver the experience due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible.
The customer may choose between an agreed alternative date and a full refund of the amount paid.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Venue and practical arrangements
Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for providing a suitable venue with tables, chairs and sufficient space for the agreed number of participants.
Ugly Duckli provides the agreed materials, preparation and facilitation. Transport, setup and other practical arrangements are specified in the individual offer.
Online Shop
1. Shipping and delivery
Orders are normally dispatched within five business days after the order has been completed and payment has been accepted, unless a different timeframe is stated.
Orders are shipped with PostNord or another carrier stated during checkout. We ship to the countries available during checkout. Available delivery methods, prices and estimated delivery times are shown before the order is completed.
Please ensure that your name and delivery address are correct and correspond with the information on your mailbox.
Parcels delivered to a parcel shop must be collected within the carrier's collection period.
If a parcel is returned because it was not collected, any refund will be processed after the parcel has been received. Actual direct return costs may be deducted where permitted by applicable law.
Customers outside the European Union may be responsible for local customs duties, import taxes and handling charges. These charges are not included unless expressly stated during checkout.
2. Right of withdrawal and returns
Consumers entitled to a statutory right of withdrawal may normally cancel their purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, please send a clear statement of withdrawal to info@uglyduckli.com within the applicable period. Please include your name and order number.
Goods must be returned no later than 14 days after notifying us of withdrawal. Unless otherwise agreed, the customer pays the direct cost of returning the goods.
You may inspect the goods in the same way as you would in a physical shop. You may be responsible for any reduction in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
Please return the goods securely packaged and include your name and order number.
Refunds include the price paid and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the original order. Additional delivery costs resulting from a more expensive delivery method are not refundable.
Refunds will be made no later than 14 days after we receive your withdrawal notice. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been returned or you provide evidence that they have been sent back.
Refunds are made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
Certain statutory exceptions may apply, including goods made to a customer's individual specifications.
3. Payment and prices
Payment can be made using the payment methods shown during checkout.
For physical goods, payment is normally charged when the order is dispatched, unless a different arrangement is clearly stated and legally permitted.
All prices and delivery costs are displayed before the purchase is confirmed.
VAT information: Ugly Duckli ApS is not currently registered for VAT in Denmark. No VAT is charged on purchases or bookings.
4. Faulty or incorrect goods
Goods must correspond with their description and comply with applicable consumer protection legislation.
Consumers in the European Union generally have a minimum two-year legal guarantee for faulty goods. Other mandatory rights may apply depending on the customer's country.
If an item is faulty, damaged or different from what was ordered, please contact info@uglyduckli.com as soon as possible. Please include your order number and, where relevant, photographs of the problem.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include repair, replacement, refund or an appropriate price reduction. Necessary return costs for valid complaints will be covered by the seller.
5. Privacy and payment security
Personal information is processed only as necessary to handle orders, bookings, payments, delivery, customer service, legal obligations and the secure operation of the website.
Relevant information may be shared with trusted service providers, including payment providers, website and hosting providers, and shipping carriers, when necessary.
Payment card information is handled through secure payment providers. Ugly Duckli does not receive full card details.

6. Product information and availability
We reserve the right to correct obvious typing and pricing errors and to contact customers if an item is unavailable.
Product colours may appear slightly different depending on screen settings, lighting and the individually finished nature of certain products.
Any cancellation or refund resulting from an error or unavailable product will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
