Welcome to the Private Paper Heart Experience
Step inside my home in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, and discover one of
Denmark’s most beautiful Christmas traditions in a calm, personal and
welcoming setting.
The Private Paper Heart Experience is not a conventional workshop. It is a
private and unhurried experience created exclusively for your own small
group, bringing together Danish cultural history, creativity and personal
hospitality.
You will not simply learn a weaving technique. You will be invited into a
living Danish Christmas tradition.
What will you experience?
During approximately two hours, I will personally welcome you into my home
in Frederiksberg.
I will share the story of the woven Danish paper heart and its connection
to Hans Christian Andersen. I will then guide you step by step through the
traditional weaving technique.
We begin with classic patterns and work at a relaxed pace, allowing everyone
to take part. No previous experience is needed.
The experience is not about being skilled at crafts. It is about presence,
curiosity and the pleasure of creating something beautiful by hand.
There is time for conversation, creativity, coffee or tea and the warm
atmosphere that arises when people gather around a shared experience.

The materials
All paper materials used during the experience were developed by me and are
produced in Denmark.
We work with Ugly Duckli’s own glossy paper, created specifically for woven
paper hearts. It has a beautiful finish and a quality that creates a more
refined and durable result than standard craft paper.
Each guest also receives a DIY weaving kit to take home, allowing the
experience to continue after the visit. The kit was developed by me and is
produced in Denmark.
It contains pre-cut templates, handles, adhesive dots and instructions, so
no scissors are required.
The original Ugly Duckli paper heart concept received the Formland Award for
combining design, tradition and cultural storytelling.

Price:
DKK 7,500 for the complete experience and up to 6 guests.

Approximately 2 hours.
Location:
My private home in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. The address is shared after
booking.
Language:
English or Danish. All printed materials are available in both languages.
Each experience is arranged personally, allowing the timing to fit your
visit and plans in Copenhagen.
Companies, hotels and other groups are also welcome to enquire about special
arrangements or an experience at another location.
Booking and cancellation
Full prepayment is required when booking. Once the booking has been received,
I will contact you personally to arrange the date, time and final details.
Cancellations made at least 30 days before the experience receive a full
refund. After this date, the payment is non-refundable.
You are very welcome to contact me before booking if you have questions,
special wishes or would like to discuss a possible date.
